West Coast Family Medical Clinic is using a patient registration list called the Health Connect Registry. If you reside in the Western Community region, you can register with this online tool to be added to a local registry for a family doctor or nurse practitioner. You may also register your family or a person in your care.

Please note that providing a family physician for residents of the Western Communities region is very limited at this time.

Clinic Specific Information: At this time the West Coast Family Medical Clinic is unable to accept patients who already have a primary care provider on Southern Vancouver Island (family physician or nurse practitioner) OR who do not live in the Sooke area OR who do not have a personal health number (found on your BC Services Card).
The registry for our clinic will be managed according to a number of factors, including medical need and practice composition. The registry is not necessarily “first come, first served.”
West Coast Family Medical Clinic is an interdisciplinary clinic, with both family physicians and nurse practitioners providing primary care services. This registry is to join any open practice within the Western Communities region. We cannot guarantee a specific primary care provider, nor can we guarantee the gender of your primary care provider. You will always have the option of having a chaperone in the room for visits of a sensitive nature. At times, you may also receive care from other members of the interdisciplinary care team, including registered nurses, social workers, registered dieticians, medical residents, and medical students.
